After you have enrolled, if you have questions relating to the course material, a licensed real estate instructor will be available for questions Monday through Friday between 9:00 A. M. EST and 5:00 P. M. EST.
We encourage students to e-mail the instructor with questions regarding the On-Line course at Frank Cooke . With an e-mail to the instructor, the student will have a written document of the response.
For questions by e-mail, there is a 24 Hour response time Monday through Friday, E-mails over Saturday, Sunday or a legal holiday will be returned the first business day. |

- To obtain a real estate license in West Virginia the student :
- must be 18 years of age or older
- is a high school graduate or the holder of an equivalency diploma.
- must successfully complete the 90 Hour West Virginia Principles course and pass a paper and pencil end-of-course with a minimum of 75% in each of the four categories: 1) principles and practices; 2) real estate law; 3) real estate finance; 4) real estate appraising
- must be trustworthy, of good moral character and to help accomplish this evaluation the student must obtain the "Recommendation of Two Real Estate Owners" who have owned real estate in West Virginia for at least the past twelve months and have known the student applicant for the past two years.
- This real estate owner can NOT be: a) a relative; b) affiliated with the applicant as an employer, partner or associate: c) affiliated with the broker that will employ the applicant.
- The real estate owners must state that the applicant is honest, trustworthy, deals fairly and is competent to transact the business of real estate in a manner that will protect the interest of the public.
- Upon completing successfully the end-of-course exam, the school will mail the Completion Certificate to the student along with the application to the state.
- The student then mails the completed application and the certificate from the school, please note that there is a filing deadline for every state exam. SEE STATE EXAM SCHEDULE and REGISTRATION DEADLINE.
- A letter will acknowledge approval by the WVREC to take the state exam. The exam is given in Charleston, once a month. The exam fee is $25 paid by check or money order at the exam center. .

- This course is composed of 32 modules. Each unit has two sections: Video presentation and a Comprehensive Quiz. .
- The course is designed with learning objectives so as the student goes through east module, the student knows what the objectives are.
- The student needs to obtain 80% on the unit quizzes. This is the most important part of this course, because as the student works through these modules it demonstrates mastery of the course.
- A student can not move on to the next unit without passing the previous one.
- It is highly suggested that the student e-mail the school once they have completed the on-line portion of the course so the school can arrange to mail the final end-of-course exam to the student.
- The exam is composed of 150 exam questions. West Virginia requires both subjective (fill in the blank) questions and multiple choice questions. There are 75 multiple choice questions and 75 fill in the blank questions.
- The end-of-course exam will be mailed to the Student along with "Directions for Final Exam" and a "Student Affidavit".
- The Student must mail all documents back to the school. A postage paid envelop is provided.
- Upon success completion of the end-of-course exam and the Affidavit properly signed and Notarized, a completion certificate will be mailed to the student. Please allow three business days for this to occur.

- Once the student purchases this course, the student CANNOT get a refund.
- Once the student purchases the course, the student has ONE year to complete the program.
- Students must complete the end-of-course exam in one session. Student will not be allowed to complete the final exam in segments. A passing grade of 75% is necessary for passing the course.
- If the student fails the end-of-course exam, the student can retake the end of course exam right away. The student is able to have access to review the course for a year. If the student fails the second time the student will need to take the course course again.
- Once the student successfully completes the exam, the course is good for five years.
- This course is totally on-line streaming video course. The course is not downloadable. The student can work through the course at the student's convenience.
- This course is NOT designed to be printed for security purposes and copy right regulations.
- At the time of registration for the On-Line Distance Learning Course, the student will receive an e-mail from Cooke School with their user name and password and link to the course. The link is the light blue icon on right side of the page "Cooke School Student Login"
- Every On-Line student must agree to the "Student Affidavit".
